Image Magazine During the time I lived in Australia, I wrote a regular column for Image Magazine. The columns centre around the differences between Ireland and Australia and the trials of living in a new country. Rereading these columns for the first time in a while I found they bought the memories flooding back. The decision to come home to Ireland was a hard one but our stay was always meant to be temporary. We did have the good fortune of making some great friends, even if we don't get to see them as often as we'd like. Click to read sample columns

Back when I first announced to my husband I was going to write a novel, I think he felt he should temper my enthusiasm and suggested that, as an exercise, I might first start by writing a short story. I ignored his advice, of course. But I have since written some short stories. The story ‘Chance’ is one I wrote for Image magazine and is light-hearted in tone and content. ‘This Is The Life,’ is somewhat darker and is one I’ve just recently finished.
